Step 7: Event Category Templates

An Event Category functions as a template with which you create similar events quickly and easily. By reducing the amount of new information that must be entered each time an event is booked, these Event Categories save time and increase your efficiency.
You do not have to create a template prior to creating your first event. Once the event is created, you can save that event as a template and base other templates on that one.
It is much easier to understand how to set up an Event Category Template once you have created and set up an event. Therefore, we recommend that you first set up everything else in EventPro Planner and create an event. You will learn how to book an event in Chapter 4: Create an Event and how to set up an event in Chapter 5: Set Up an Event. Once you have worked through the process of setting up an event, you will be able to easily create other Event Category templates in Chapter 16: Event Category Templates.
