Mutually Exclusive Groups
If you do not want to allow attendees to register in two registration packages at the same time, you can create mutually exclusive groups.
1.
In the Attendee Setup | Attendee Registrations tab of the Event Setup window, click to highlight a registration group in the top Registrations selection grid and click on the Mutually Exclusive Groups tab at the bottom right.
2.
Click the New button to the right of the Mutually Exclusive Groups tab.
3.
In the Disabled Group [New] window, select the registration group that you do not want available at the same time as the current registration group you selected in the upper selection grid.
4.
Click Save. Now, if an attendee selects the first registration package, they will not be able to select the second (disabled) package.
5.
However, note that the mutually exclusive group function does not work in reverse. For example, say you clicked on the Gold Package and selected the Silver Package as the disabled group under Mutually Exclusive Groups. Later, if the attendee selects the Gold Package, the Silver Package will be disabled. However, if the attendee selects the Silver Package first, the Gold Package will still be available. If you want the packages to be completely mutually exclusive, you would have to go to the Mutually Exclusive Groups tab for both the Gold and Silver Packages and disable them for each other.
