Insert Graphics

| 1. | To insert a graphic into a document, click on the Insert menu at the top of the Word Processor and select either Graphic – Embedded or Graphic – Linked. |
| a. | Graphic – Embedded: An embedded graphic becomes part of the document, which increases its size. Note that if you embed graphics into many documents, they will use up a lot of space in your database. |
| b. | Graphic – Linked: When a linked graphic is inserted into a document, it is stored externally from the document. The printed or viewed document will find the graphic in the specified folder and include it in the output. Linked Graphics are usually recommended because they use up much less space in your database, which is advantageous when you are using large graphics or many smaller graphics. |

| 2. | You can insert a graphic from anywhere, but if there are multiple users in EventPro Planner, ensure that the graphic is accessible to all users. If a user cannot access the folder containing the graphic, it will not appear for that user when he or she views the document. For these reason, you may find it convenient to store frequently used graphics in the default Attachment & Images folder. Review Chapter 2: Setting Up EventPro Planner, Step 1: System Settings, General: Attachments & Images. |
| 3. | In the Open window, find the graphic you want to insert and click Open. |

| 4. | If you attempt to insert a graphic larger than 200 KB, the Confirm dialog will appear, warning you that embedding or linking large graphic files is not recommended. If you want to continue with inserting the graphic, click Ignore. To cancel, click Cancel. |
