Event Category Template Overview

If you often plan similar events, you can create event templates that will save time and data entry when booking and adding details. An event category template can be created in two ways:
| 1. | You can save a previous event as a template. To learn how to save a previously booked event as a template, see Chapter 5: Set Up an Event, Event Maintenance Overview, Editing, Logo and Other Functions: Event Options, Save as Template. |
| 2. | You can enter details for each event category in the Setup Event Categories screen. The instructions in this chapter will describe how to create an event category template in the Setup Event Categories screen. |
From EventPro Planner’s main menu, select Setup | Event Category Templates. The [Setup Event Categories] screen will open.
The top selection grid will eventually list all of your Event Categories. If you have already created some categories or saved previous events as templates, the categories will appear in this selection grid.

In the lower selection grid, there are several tabs under which you can add information and items that will apply to events of the category selected in the upper selection grid. You can add as much or as little information as you require in as many tabs as you want: Sub-Categories, Budget, Attendee Types, Functions, Attendee Registrations, Exhibitor Registrations, Resources, Auto-Create Actions, Booths and Letter Templates.
