The Actions created here will be automatically added to the Actions tab when this event category template is used to create an event.
1.
Select the event category to which you want to add actions and click the Auto-Create Actions tab.
2.
Click the New button to the right of the Auto-Create Actions selection grid.
3.
The Auto Create Action [New] window opens.
4.
From here, you can follow the instructions in Chapter 12: Actions, Create Action. The Auto Create Action [New] window is very similar to the Action [New] window, except that it has different tabs and does not contain all of the fields (such as the Completion fields).
5.
The General tab contains many of the same fields as the Action [New] window described in Chapter 12: Actions, Create Action.
6.
The Criteria tab determines for which types of companies this Action will be automatically added. If you do not want the action automatically added for every event created with this category, you can limit the events by the company category for the company booking the event. From the Category 1, 2 and 3 drop-down lists, choose the company categories of the event clients for which you want to add the Action. If for example, you choose “Business”, when a company categorized as “Business” books an event with this event template, the action will be auto-added. If you want the action auto-added to all events booked by any category of company client, select <ANY>.
7.
Click Save.
8.
Continue creating as many actions as you need for the event category template.
9.
Later, if you book an event using this event category template, these auto-create actions will be pulled into the Actions tab of the EventMaintenance screen.
10.
If you do not use the event category template when booking the event, but still want to use actions from a template, you can do so by copying the template into the Actions tab. See Chapter 12: Actions, Copy Action Template.
